"What should I look when I hire a photographer?"

Clients always ask this question. There is not just one thing to look for, it is a bunch of things.

One, and I hate to say... BUDGET! Sure, you need to find a photographer in your budget. So, when you are sitting down planning your wedding, plan to spend about 15-20% on your wedding photographer, at least. Some may say that is a lot of money, and it can be if you are having a large wedding. But remember this... photos are the one thing that you are going to have for years. People forget the dinner, the drinks, the flowers, the clothes for that day; but photographs are there forever. Get the best you can get.

The next thing to look at is the photographers work. You should love your photographers work, not just like it, LOVE IT!. If you love my photographs, hire me! :-) I am booking weddings for 2009! Don't miss the chance to choose me as your wedding photographer!

Last, but no least, hire a photographer you love, I am talking about "personality". You need to feel comfortable around your photographer before, during and after your wedding day.

I am very excited again! One of my images was selected to be featured in ¡Qué  Pasa!; this is the official publication of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company for visitors. Also, the selected image promotes the "Destination Weddings & Honeymoon EXPO" at the Caribbean Bridal Expo. This event will be held at the Puerto Rico Convention Center during March 29-30, 2008. The Wedding of Vanessa & Luis Angel

I have an iMAC!

Dear brides:

For the first time in my life I have an iMAC. This is the new iMAC 24" computer.

In just two days I learn how to do amazing DVD slide shows for my clients (bride & grooms), and much more. The monitor looks awsome and my pictures looks sharper and colorful.

Also, that means that your wedding album designs will be done faster than ever!

The Wedding of Alex Cintron & Priscilla Barrera!

On November 2nd. I had the privilege to photograph the wedding of Pricilla and Alex Cintron. Alex Cintron is a Chicago White Sox baseball player and the bride (Priscilla) is a georgeous mexican girl. The wedding was held at the new Atlantic Ballroom at El Conquistador Resort in Puerto Rico. The music was played by Andy Montanez, a salsa singer star of Puerto Rico. The Wedding of Jenny & Rob!

On November 4, 2007 was the wedding of this lovely couple, Jenny & Rob. The ceremoy & reception was at El Conquistador Resort in Las Croabas, Puerto Rico. The day was sunny and windy, but all enjoyed the big event. Here are some quick images of the day, enjoy!

 

In other news, I met the fabulous Justin Ungaro, a fellow photographer from Los Angeles who was there as a guest... yes, she was there with her camera gear too! I discover that we have many things in common, like the membership of the Digital Wedding Forum, and we admire the same famous photographers from the states. Too bad that I can't talk to her during the wedding, well next time we can take a coffee in the next photographer's convention. Here is a picture of her:

The Wedding of Nicole & Michael

Last Saturday Kimberly Del Pilar (my 22 years old daughter) and I shot a beautiful wedding at Las Casitas Gardens followed by a huge reception at Mirador Terrace in El Conquistador Resort at Las Croabas, Puerto Rico.

The hair and make-up of the beautiful bride was made by Adouard de Paris Salon & Spa; Jessica Rivera from Fantasy Flowers and Events provided the beautiful flowers & decoration for the event; the music was set by Entertainment Concepts.

The couple was a easy going and super nice too, I am a lucky photographer. Here are some of the images:
