"What should I look when I hire a photographer?"

Clients always ask this question. There is not just one thing to look for, it is a bunch of things.

One, and I hate to say... BUDGET! Sure, you need to find a photographer in your budget. So, when you are sitting down planning your wedding, plan to spend about 15-20% on your wedding photographer, at least. Some may say that is a lot of money, and it can be if you are having a large wedding. But remember this... photos are the one thing that you are going to have for years. People forget the dinner, the drinks, the flowers, the clothes for that day; but photographs are there forever. Get the best you can get.

The next thing to look at is the photographers work. You should love your photographers work, not just like it, LOVE IT!. If you love my photographs, hire me! :-) I am booking weddings for 2009! Don't miss the chance to choose me as your wedding photographer!

Last, but no least, hire a photographer you love, I am talking about "personality". You need to feel comfortable around your photographer before, during and after your wedding day.

The Beautiful Vegas Skyline!

Hi all!

This is the beautiful view that we had from the Mandalay Bay Hotel during a latin photographer's group (www.forodefotografos.com) party. That was the night of the transformer failure and were all in the dark. But the party goes on!

Back from Las Vegas!

Hello everyone!

I am finally back from Las Vegas photographer's convention (www.wppinow.com). I am still tired and sleepy. But sure, I need to confess that I had a lot of fun too. I had the honor to meet the best wedding photographers from all over the world; photographers like the one that shot the wedding pictures for Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes (Robert Evans); the one that shot the wedding pictures of Eva Longoria & Tony Parker (Bob Davis) and others.

Here is a video recap from the people of Cinematic Studios.

About the print competition results: According to the WPPI office I had three prints with more than 80 points. This is good news, but I need to wait for the official announcement.

I plan to post more pictures of the event very soon.

For the brides: The results of these events will benefit you, brides & grooms. It means I am now updated with the new trends of wedding photography, wedding albums, photography style, and many more. Also, I am very excited to keep taking beautiful pictures for the rest of the year.

WPPI 2008... Vegas Baby!!!

The world's largest convention in the US is less than couple of days away, from March 15-20. I had an incredible time last year learning from the best photographers of the world. Sure, it is not about seminar only, I have many invitations to private partys and get togethers. Yeah!

Attention photographers: Anybody who has ever had the opportunity to meet Joe Photo, will love this video. Cinematic Studios and WPPI have teamed up for this video series. for thosse who don't know who Joe is, or haven't met him, he is a very talented photographer from Orange County, who has found a way to bring his inner rock star to the world of wedding photography.

Episode 1 of “Diary of a Washed Up Rock Star Wedding Photographer.” In the episode, Skip learns that his abysmal ratings from last year’s award show means WPPI has to bring back Joe Photo and Michele Celentano to host. Joe in his despair has ended up in a dead-end job.

Here is part one of the series... enjoy!

Episode 2 of “Diary of a Washed Up Rock Star Wedding" Enjoy!
